Custom Exhaust Pics

Here are some pics of my almost completed custom exhaust. Should be finished today, just waiting for the powercoated tips, then it's going to the dyno. I will post more pics later today when it is finished.

The first dyno pull with the car STOCK is complete. Godzilla made 472.9 wheel horsepower, and 452.2 lbs/ft torque on a Dynapack 5000. You will notice that on the graph it says HP and Torque at the flywheel, this is incorrect. I spoke to the technician at the shop and he said all power is measured at the wheels with no drivetrain loss calculations. This would mean that Nissan's claim of 480bhp is a far cry from the truth, and that a GTR stock actually makes somewhere around 550bhp. That would explain much better how a 3800 lb car can run a 11.7 1/4 mile.

Will post the next dyno plot with the exhaust and cobb access port after it is completed later this afternoon.

exhaust was successfully installed today, looked awesome, and sounded amazing... sounds very similar to a Gallardo in my opinion. no resonating during idle, or cruising, but when the turbos spool there is a deep rumble/growl like a V8 sound, followed by a progressive shrieking, scream that will put a smile on anyone's face riding in the car. it is nice!!!

unfortunately, the cobb access port we received was not uploading the software to the ECU so our dyno results were not anywhere near their potential. however there was a massive initial low end torque increase before the stock ECU program pulls back power, which indicates that our 3.5 inch stainless exhaust matched with the correct program should produce some great power gains! should have a programmer that works early next week. here is a video of godzilla on the dyno to hear the exhaust sound

Dyno with exhaust and Cobb stage 2

godzilla made 510.7whp after adding the cobb stage 2 software. power comes on much sooner than stock as you see from the torque curve, and stays consistent all the way to redline. we have been having a few issues with boost spikes and limp mode sometimes, but are currently working with cobb to address the problem. this exhaust is so efficient it is hard to keep the boost under control. i would love to take it to the drag strip and see what kind of time we can do, i am just very afraid to launch my car after hearing several horror stories of people who have lost their trannies and nissan is not covering anything under warranty.

many more mods to come in the near future!
