Good deal for 09?

I am trying to decide if I want to pay over to have one this year.

Is $79,995 for the premium pkg a good deal?

This is about $7-8k over msrp?

From what I've heard, some dealers are getting alot more than that, but who knows.

Just trying to get some input.

I get to pick color and equipment, and it will be the first one they get.

It's not bad if you compare to the ones that are offering 15k + over. What you want to make sure is delivery date. Also if they make you put down a deposit, make sure it's refundable.

Thanks! Thats a good point, I will make sure its refundable.
They have told me I would have it in June-July timeframe.

On a sidenote, I always thought people who paid over list were nuts... because not long after, they have always come down in price.
I have seen this happen with the ZR-1 in 1990, and the NSX in 1991, and even with the Mitsu EVO... I guess this is the first time I have ever wanted a car really bad, so I understand now how someone would pay a premium. I have no problem with a dealer making what they can on them. Who cares, it's their business, they can do what they want. I haven't driven the car, but from what I've read, it sounds like a steal at $75k.
Maybe not a steal, but a really good deal.

If you can get it in June, and if you want it badly enough, go for it!

Enjoy!

If your deposit is refundable then there's no question...put the money down to save your spot, if you find a better deal then go buy the better deal or use it for leverage on the car you're in line for. Good luck.
