Got an email from Nissan after signing up for GT-R info
Pretty useless email that gave me some optional Web pages to visit.
I went to the dealership listing and searched for those in my area. Went to a couple of their sites and filled out some forms.
I got a call this morning from a local dealer's manager. He told me they have two slots left and I could set up an appointment to come in and meet with their guys to discuss the purchase. I asked how much and he said $20,000 over MSRP.
Told him I'm not interested in paying more than MSRP but would go to $5,000 over maximum. He said he'd talk to his manager and see if there's any interest and will call me back.
I'm not holding my breath.
Nissan may have priced the car too low but their critical mistake doesn't mean we need to pay over MSRP. I'll wait and maybe never own one. It's OK.
