From what I understand, Hiro owes a lot of money to a lot of people. He has a lien on his house from a partner vendor and is being sued by various people. Who knows if he'll run. I just feel really bad for the people waiting for their cars.

Also I believe Sean Morris is working on picking up where Motorex left off, in order to continue the GTR importation. It may take some time.

From what I understand, since Motorex has finished the legalization work on R32-R34 GT-Rs and S15s, anyone can now legally import one of those vehicles with no additonal qualification? Would the time be in finding suppliers of the cars?

I think finding a supplier for the car and shipping it over is the easy part. The hard part is getting the car fully legalized through DOT, etc. The way I understood it was Motorex had setup their legalization package with DOT in a way that no one else could legalize the cars except Motorex. However, since there were recent policy/rule changes within the DOT, it made it very difficult for even Motorex to get the cars legalized. A bunch of cars have been imported here, but to get them legalized is what's holding them up. I guess the hold up is what putting motorex in the hot seat.

Motorex was never able to do S15s.

I just couldnt see paying the kind of money Motorex wanted for their cars. I know they went to a lot of hassle & RD to get the DOT approval - but $30000 worth ??? I got my baby the old fashioned way - black market.

It's gonna be pure drift anyway - never intended it to be a daily driver. Tried to get some parts once through Motorex. 2 words, RUDE and EXPENSIVE !!

Peace
