April Info Update On The Next GTR
#11
A few vendors have told me that when they got a preproduction 350z or G35 to do part research, Nissan made a ton of changes from preproduction to final release. They had to modify their part to get it to work on the final release That could mean that we will see plenty more pictures of what the car may look like and changes in its specs leading up to its final release.
As for exclusivity of the car, I really don't think it'll be a limited edition vehicle. I think they'll roll out a regular version and then follow suit with different versions, which could carry the exclusivity. But I could be wrong.

perhaps i put that wrong. i don't think the car will be a limited production run. of course it will not be. i meant to say that it will be exclusive to those who can afford that next level. most people are not going to rush out and buy $80k+ sports cars. but many will. we will more than likely see most of the domestic buyers of this car clustered on the west coast, probably socal.
i think, as you say, there will be within the general model line the occasional special edition thing that will be beyond reach of most.

This is my first post and I want to let everyone know that this is one of the best GT-R forums. Keep up the good work.
I'm not a big fan of the exterior, but I'm sure the final car won't disappoint when it comes to the looks department. All of the newer Nissans seem to look more and more beautiful the more I see them. As far as I performance though, I think it's safe to say that the next GT-R will continue to kick ***, take names and rise above the rest .

I think we all are hoping that the GTR becomes the super car we are hearing. Especially for the guys in the USA. Although I did hear that Motorex found a private investor to get things going agian......
