Old News about r34 - Taken From Autoweek
The following is some old news I found in Autoweek.
1000 special-edition GT-Rs sell out in one day in Japan, Nissan says
Published Date: 3/4/02
While waiting for Nissan to develop the next-generation Skyline GT-R—one that we hope will make its way to the States by 2005—here’s a little something to whet your appetite: Nissan reports that 1000 special-edition GT-Rs put up for sale in Japan sold out in one day. Prices ranged from $45,900 to $47,405.
The commemorative models come near the end of the car’s production run because it no longer meets more stringent Japanese emissions rules. The standard Skyline, available with a 3.5-liter engine and eight-speed manual transmission, lives on while Nissan ponders Skyline’s future.
