Acura NSX "Replacement"

This is what http://www.roadandtrack.com/article....rticle_id=6949 is reporting in their September issue. And Edmunds posted good rendering http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=129976

I know this isn't exactly new, but I thought we should have a discussion on it. My .02: I was disappointed that they abandon the MR (high output V8 would have been fine with me) layout and opted to go with a more GT route. Honda let the NSX died a slow and painful death (S2K anyone?) and it has taken them this long to get to this point. I was so close to buying an 05 before I bought my Z06. It's no secret that Honda has their sight on the GTR/ZR1 ring time, but by the time they release the car those times would have been beaten again by Vspec (maybe N1, Nur, etc models). I will however, withhold judgement until the official information becomes available.

you know honda has not had anything very exciting come out in 10 years (S2000). and I have to say this car looks rather dull, as if they just coppied a few body cues from Aston-Martin and Audi and combined them with some cheap parts they had sitting round the shop. And what do you get, a boring car. but this is no surprise, if you think of all the major luxury auto maker, Acura (Honda) is the most boring.

Function > Form. Yea and Acura is one of the cheapest as well in the luxury category. Everything on the body of the car is Japanese styling but the crease on the side is kind of a European thing which helps keep the car on the ground.

I can understand function over form, but this is a street car, not a race car
