R32gtr '89' Vs R32gtr 90-94
hey peeps just wanted to know if you guys could list some of the differences between the 89 model gtr and the 90-94 model gtrs as i have heard stuff like the later model r32 gtrs have an upgraded gearbox and the 89 model was built with a stronger motor as it was used for race, just the main differences really dont need to go into to much detail, cheers

Yes some of the first R32 GT-Rs had the N1 block. I don't know or recall how many were made this way. It may have been the whole first year, but I'm only guessing. I'd have to snoop around and find some info on it and then see how much of the info overlaps.

There are a couple of differences between 89-93 and late 93/94 R32 GTR's. The two most significant are an upgrade to the oil pump drive on the crankshaft (longer drive). And a minor upgrade to the gearbox.
Aussie spec GTR's have quite a long list of changes, I was lucky enough to own a 1991 unit and I still have the PDF with changes by nissan for them.
That link mentioned above specifies wiki info on the GTR's which is pretty basic to say the least.
For more info on your own gtr you can have it's VIN FASTed unsing nissans database if you go to www.skylinesaustralia.com.
